The Surly Steamroller is a single-speed/fixed-gear frameset designed to be ridden hard around town. Combining road bike geometry with track bike elements, it's tough enough to take on bumps, grassy shortcuts, urban trails, and back alleys throughout the city.
It features Surly's original blend of 4130 CroMoly (Natch tubing, double-butted main triangle) paired with a tapered-blade CroMoly fork, achieving both the characteristic suppleness and durability of steel. Track ends make wheel removal and installation smooth.
It uses mid-reach rim caliper brakes (47-57mm). Tire clearance is 700x38c without fenders (700x32c with fenders). It has rear fender eyelets and one bottle cage mount.
