The ASTR frameset is our second-tier model, inheriting the technology of our performance gravel bikes.
The ASTR inherits the technology of the higher-end ASTR RS model, but by changing the carbon material, it has been designed as a cost-effective second-tier frameset.
The 27.2mm seatpost ensures compatibility with a wide range of components. Compared to the higher-end model, the frame-only weight increase is limited to 226g (size S), while achieving the same level of aerodynamics and rigidity.
To enhance performance on the rough and challenging terrains required for gravel racing, wide tires with high air volume reduce rolling resistance and improve comfort and grip. The lightweight frame also contributes to climbing performance and a comfortable ride.
The entire frame features a rounded, Kamm-tail design.
The front fork incorporates the diffuser concept used in racing cars to regulate and optimize airflow. Additionally, the chainstays are designed to be as short as possible to maintain responsive acceleration, while still accommodating tires up to 52mm.
Furthermore, a longer wheelbase and lower bottom bracket height improve stability at high speeds.
The head tube length is also designed to be low, achieving an aerodynamically superior riding position.
With a focus on performance, mounting points that would add weight have been minimized.
