The 30L version of the Refugio shares the same basic design as the 26L, but with an additional 4cm in depth (46 x 30 x 23 cm). This difference becomes apparent when you want to carry "your usual belongings + a little extra." Spare shoes, a wind shell, or some camera equipment – there's ample room to comfortably stash such items.

Another change in the 30L model is that the PC sleeve is now a dedicated, independent compartment with a waterproof zipper flap. Furthermore, a mesh pocket has been added to the front, allowing you to separate wet or dirty items. These may seem like minor details, but they are surprisingly convenient in actual use.

The external straps can be used in two ways – on the sides or on the back – and their generous length allows for attaching additional gear. There is no waist strap, so it's designed more for day rides or day hikes, rather than carrying heavy loads for extended periods.
