Flexibility
While standard inner cables are typically constructed by twisting 19 strands, this product is made of 31 strands.
This makes it more pliable and flexible than conventional products, easing installation when routing around the handlebars is tight, as is common today. It also lightens the feel of handlebar operation.
Durability
It is more tightly twisted than conventional cables, resulting in less elongation and superior load-bearing capacity.
It has been pre-tensioned (a process where force is applied beforehand to reduce initial stretch and prevent elongation after installation).
Low Friction (Light Pull)
The cable surface is slicked by shaving it to approximate a perfect circle, followed by a special coating (electrodeposition coating). This results in lower friction than simple slick coatings or PTFE (Teflon) coatings.
Furthermore, the coating is resistant to peeling, ensuring long-lasting light pull. This is arguably the best inner cable currently available.
