The cross levers are auxiliary brake levers designed for use on the flat section of drop handlebars.

They can be used with both short-pull and long-pull brakes.

Set them up by threading the brake cable from the drop lever through the cross lever.

The cross lever can also be used alone; simply insert the head of the brake cable into the recess in the housing on the outside of the lever.
