Flexibility
While standard inner cables are made by twisting 19 strands, this product is made from 31 strands.
This makes it more pliable and flexible than conventional products, making installation easier when routing around the handlebars is tight, as is common today. It also lightens the feel of the handlebars.
Durability
Compared to conventional products, it is more tightly twisted, resulting in less stretch and superior load bearing capacity.
It has been pre-tensioned (a process where force is applied beforehand to reduce initial stretch after installation).
Low Friction (Light Pull)
The cable surface is ground to be closer to a perfect circle (slick processing), then a special coating (electrophoretic coating) is applied. This results in lower friction than simple slick processing or PTFE (Teflon) coating.
Furthermore, the coating is less likely to peel off, maintaining a light pull over a long period.
This is considered to be the best inner cable currently available.
