The upper design has been revised, making the toe area slightly wider than conventional GIRO shoes, now fitting Japanese feet better.
The upper material now features a new Teijin micro-fiber from Japan.
Combined with GIRO's signature seven shoelace holes, it provides an outstanding fit and comfort.

The sole has evolved to an EASTON EC 90 SLX full carbon sole.
It enables maximum power transfer with minimal weight, from Grand Tours to Gran Fondos.
Furthermore, arch support adjustment with the adjustable SuperNatural Fit Footbed achieves the best performance and style.

The resurgence of shoelace style

Once, most shoes used shoelaces, but in recent decades they have been replaced by quick-adjust mechanical buckle systems.
However, this system had problems such as issues caused by sand and dirt, weight, damage during falls, and less precise adjustment compared to laces.

When we first considered cycling shoes with shoelaces, we weren't sure if the market would accept them.
However, after testing them in actual riding, we fell in love with the effect shoelaces provided.
And we discovered that riders who were resistant to shoelaces weren't dissatisfied with the laces themselves, but rather with the shoe's upper.

Traditional leather and microfiber upper materials deform with wear and weather.
So we re-examined the structure of modern microfiber and the upper pattern, bringing back shoelace shoes.
 

Why shoelaces? Because nothing beats the fit of shoelaces.
Different lacing patterns and increased adjustment points allow for a wide range of fits, making the fit feel more natural.
Shoelaces are also incredibly lightweight, don't break during falls, and are easy to replace.
Are shoelaces for everyone? Absolutely not.
However, they are indispensable for riders who demand lightness, comfort, and reliable pedaling from their shoes, whether for Grand Tours or intense off-road riding.
