The outer fabric is made of Invista's Cordura 500D nylon, and the main compartment lining uses ripstop nylon, resulting in a pannier bag with a balanced combination of lightness, durability, and waterproofness.
The existing model, which uses cotton canvas, weighs 1180g, making this new model 390g lighter.
With two outer pockets and two side pockets, a major appeal of this lightweight pannier is its ample storage capacity.
The front and flap pockets have gussets, providing a good amount of space,
and you can access items directly from inside the pockets even when the bag is attached to the rack, making it ideal for storing frequently used items.
The side pockets are deep enough to prevent bottles from falling out, as the bottle grooves catch on the pocket opening, and U-locks fit perfectly.
The height of the main body and the position of the hooks are designed so that the bag sits at an ideal height – not too high, not too low – when attached to a front rack.
Of course, it also fits perfectly on a rear rack, and since the top doesn't protrude beyond the rack's top plate, it's easy to strap items to the top plate, allowing for effective use of space.
