Summer Base Layer to Control Sweat During Your Ride and Prevent Uncomfortable Clinginess

When riding a road bike at 30km/h, wind resistance is said to be the biggest factor, and approximately 75% of that is wind resistance experienced by the rider themselves.

Because the rider's body is constantly exposed to wind, "evaporative cooling" occurs as sweat (moisture) on the skin dries during the ride.
ASSOS believes that an inner layer is necessary to prevent this evaporative cooling.

The SKINLAYER P1 is made with a seamless construction using a special knitting method, similar to socks.
By minimizing seams, it reduces discomfort when wearing a jersey or other garments over it, achieving a comfortable fit.

In the short-sleeve model, the entire fabric on the back has an uneven structure, with raised sections that absorb sweat from the skin and recessed sections that take in air. This makes it less likely to stick to the skin even when sweating heavily.

The neckline has been changed from a crew neck (O-neck) to a V-neck, reducing the constricted feeling around the neck in a riding position. This makes the neckline less visible under a jersey and gives a cleaner impression than an O-neck.

The fabric composition is the same, but it is 15% lighter.
