Introducing a custom build of the Surly Preamble.

The Surly Preamble is a versatile bike that can be used for everything from commuting to cycling.

We received a customization request from a customer to make it even easier to use, based on the complete bike.

It turned out very cool, so let me introduce it.

We customized various parts based on the drop handle model of the Surly Preamble.

First, we repainted the frame in yellow.

Color is really important, and it's a point that greatly changes the impression of a bicycle.

If you want to express your own color, frame painting is recommended.

This time, we repainted it with scratch-resistant powder paint.

The headset was upgraded to Chris King in black (with lettering).

The difference in headsets becomes apparent not at the beginning of use, but after 2 or 3 years. It moves smoothly even with continued use, is less prone to rust, and can be used for a long time.

The best part is that it looks so much cooler!

The saddle was replaced with a Selle Italia FLITE 1990. This is a classic lightweight saddle that has been passed down for many years.

It doesn't have the flashy look of modern saddles, but its lightness and simplicity make it compatible with many bicycles.

The saddle rails are made of titanium and have a subtle sheen.

And, a center stand is an item that makes the Preamble even more convenient.

You won't have to worry about where to park when shopping or at a bike rack, and having this makes daily cycling life really easy.

However, due to the specifications of the standard frame, it cannot be installed properly.

So, Grumpy newly installed a dedicated mount on the frame to customize it for easier use.

Now, the Preamble will be even more convenient! The stand mount installation costs 11,000 yen.

The stand mount is welded to the frame. Since the paint film will peel off at that time, it's a good idea to do the painting together.

We have a complete flat bar model in size S (for heights around 170cm) on display in the store.
