About Sig. Rando's Frame Customization Options
The "Frame Customization Option" expands the possibilities of the Sig. Rando.
Parts that couldn't be mounted on the standard frame set can now be mounted with this additional option!
[Front and Rear Flat Mount Brake Conversion Processing Fee: 33,000 yen]
The Sig. Rando normally uses post-mount brakes, but this option allows you to change them to flat-mount type.
The Sig. Rando Shimano GRX Limited model we introduced recently also had its brake standard changed with this option.
This is highly recommended if you want to install road-type brakes.
It's also an option for those who already own a Sig. Rando, so it's recommended for anyone considering a custom build with all-new parts.
[Front and Rear Rim Brake (V-brake) Conversion Processing Fee: 33,000 yen]
If you want to install classic parts, rim brakes are recommended.
While disc brakes are the current mainstream, if you don't care about that and want to install older, cool parts, then this standard is probably best.
Since the brake boss position changes for 26-inch, 650B, and 700c wheels, please decide in advance which size wheels you will be using.
[Brake/Shifter Outer Casing Guide - Add 1 Spot - Processing Fee: 4,400 yen]
If you add rim brake bosses, having a brake outer casing guide is convenient for securing the cable. Generally, two spots, front and rear on the top tube, would be ideal.
It's also a good idea to add these to frames like the Surly Steamroller or All-City Big Block, which don't have brake outer cable guides as standard.
[Add Left and Right Downtube Shifter Mounts - Processing Fee: 8,800 yen]
If you want to install the classic downtube shifters, use these mounts.
[Carrier Mount (Eyelet) - Add 1 Spot - Processing Fee: 4,400 yen]
You can add convenient carrier mounts to attach bottle cages to the front fork or make racks more usable.
Even if you already own a Sig. Rando, you can still use the frame customization options.
However, processing the frame will strip the paint, so please consider repainting the frame set along with the modifications.
