Brompton bullet train travel: a massive boost to your QOL

When you put your bicycle into a bag or cover, it is treated as carry-on luggage, and you can take it on trains and buses.
This is called Rinko (bicycle touring by train), and with a Brompton, Rinko is incredibly easy.


Once you get used to it, a Brompton can be folded in less than 30 seconds,
so you can arrive at the station and be on the train in less than 5 minutes.
When taking luggage on the Shinkansen, oversized luggage where the sum of the three sides exceeds 160cm requires advance reservation, but a Brompton is under 160cm.
It can be placed on the overhead rack or at your feet.


If you can take your Brompton on business trips or travels to distant places, your mobility at the destination will greatly increase.
You can easily visit shops and tourist spots that you're interested in.


The only downside is that a Brompton in its bag is heavy.
Originally, a Brompton is designed to roll even when folded, but it can't be rolled when it's in a bag...
The only solution is to make it lighter, so I'd like to consider if it's possible with customization.
