The Sig.Rando can accommodate 26-inch, 650B, and 700C wheels.

We've confirmed maximum tire widths of 26 x 2.35, 650B x 2.22, and 700 x 43c. Slightly wider tires may be acceptable depending on the rim width and tire type. Here are the characteristics of each wheel:

●26-inch wheels

The 26-inch wheel, the smallest of the three, lowers the center of gravity when mounted on the Sig.Rando, providing a stable ride. This size is recommended if you're customizing with thick tires or in an old-school MTB style.

Mounting tires around 2.3 inches wide gives it a plump, charming look.

It's also a good choice for long rides with heavy loads, such as touring across Japan or around the world.

●650B wheels

The most balanced and versatile size. Excels on slightly rough roads like those found on 1-night, 2-day camping trips and gravel roads. Also recommended for urban routes with many bumps and for adventurous weekend cycling.

●700C wheels

This size is for long rides and enjoying speedy rides with minimal equipment. Also recommended for when you want to combine the speed of a road bike with the cargo capacity of a touring bike. The wide variety of tires, rims, and complete wheels is also a major appeal.

Now, when choosing wheels, you can largely choose from two types.

A wheelset that can be customized to your usage.

If you want to build a wheel with a dynamo hub/light that automatically lights up in the dark, or incorporate various colors such as black and silver, then hand-building is the way to go. Grumpy also accepts wheel assembly requests.
