Cleaning and Maintaining a Cannondale SuperSix EVO After a Rainy Cycling Ride

At the end of the year, a staff member rode the Cannondale SuperSix EVO3 (2023 model) demo bike

on wet roads after the rain, so it was dirty and needed cleaning and maintenance.

The dirty chain was lightly wiped and lubricated.

Also, I'll fix the strange noise coming from around the saddle.

It was making a clicking sound while riding, perhaps because the seat height was changed for the test ride.

Since there was no problem with the seatpost tightening torque, I thoroughly cleaned off the grease and re-applied it.

The seat clamp (the purple part in the photo) has "GREASE" and "CARBON PASTE" indicated on its respective surfaces, so I applied them accordingly.

When applying grease, apply a generous amount, as if to say, "Is this enough?!"

Wipe off any excess grease,

and tighten to the specified torque of 8N・m to complete the work.

After the work, the noise disappeared, so the cause might have been insufficient grease. If you're experiencing similar noise issues, it might be worth trying this.
