Maintenance to get Surly's Pugsley rideable again.

We received a maintenance request for a Surly Pugsley from a customer who purchased it about 8 years ago.

After not riding it for a while, the rear shifter had seized up and wouldn't move,

so we fully refreshed all the cables, including the repair.

The cause of the seized shifter was at the tip of the outer cable.

This exposed casing was pressing against the shift wire, preventing it from moving.

We replaced it with a new Shimano cable, and all is well!

Bicycles are vehicles, just like cars and motorcycles.

With regular maintenance, they will last a long time.
