Introducing a custom build of the Surly Bridge Club, which is also great for casual exercise.
With an MTB-based frame, thick tires provide a comfortable ride, allowing you to cycle on rough terrain without worry.
This time, we've customized a complete bike with parts to make it even more relaxed to ride, and it turned out great, so let us introduce it.

We replaced the handlebars with SURLY SUNRISE HANDLEBARS.
When riding, your upper body is more upright, making steering easier on your body. An added benefit is an expanded field of vision, as you can see clearly ahead.
If you haven't exercised in a while and ride a bike with a strenuous forward-leaning posture, your body will likely suffer, and you won't stick with it for long.
As a first step to getting back in shape, the idea is to continue cycling in a relaxed position.
We chose the BROOKS FLYER saddle. There's a reason for this too.
With the handlebars in an upright position, your upper body is more erect, and more weight shifts to your rear.
The BROOKS FLYER, with its wide seat and springs, offers excellent cushioning and is perfect for casual cycling.
Combined with the softness of the leather saddle, it makes for a very comfortable ride.
Even the super easy-to-ride "mamachari" (Japanese utility bikes) often have spring-equipped saddles.
The front and rear tires were replaced with TERAVAIL SPARWOOD.
You want to maintain an off-road look, but you mostly ride on paved roads.
In such cases, tires with lower treads are recommended.
They ride smoothly on paved roads and can handle off-road conditions reasonably well, making them incredibly versatile.
And to make the customization noticeable, we chose tires with brown sidewalls. They pair perfectly with the green frame.
We installed MKS XC-3 pedals.
Sandals, slippers, sneakers... The XC-3 accommodates almost all types of everyday footwear.
Originally designed as an homage to MTB pedals, they offer excellent grip and are very easy to use.
Another advantage is their resistance to mud clogging, which also makes them easy to clean.
The ultimate feature is the ability to install a center stand.
Typically, MTB-style bikes have wide tire clearance to accommodate thick tires, and due to their frame shape, center stands cannot be installed.
However, the Bridge Club frame perfectly fits a center stand!
It's incredibly useful for parking at bike racks or convenience stores, so it comes highly recommended. It really is convenient to have!
So, this is the completed Surly Bridge Club. In fact, the next customization has already been decided.
To make it easier to carry everyday items, we'll be installing a WALD 139 half basket and,
a Surly 8-Pack Rack on the front.
This will make it even more convenient to use!
