For those considering shoes for gravel road bikes

Similar to helmets, GIRO's clipless shoes feature elegant designs that are easy to match with casual wear.

There are shoes for various genres, such as road bikes and mountain bikes, but this time we will introduce shoes for gravel road bikes and all-road bikes.

Clipless shoes for gravel road bikes are significantly easier to walk in compared to those for road bikes. For this reason, many road bike riders who prioritize exploring destinations or bike packing over speed tend to choose gravel road bike shoes.

GIRO's gravel road bike shoes are broadly divided into lace-up and BOA dial types, with four variations when considering sole materials.

Regarding fit, the width (last) is narrower compared to Shimano, SIDI, Specialized, and fizik, so if you have wide feet, we recommend going up one size.

For reference, here is GIRO's official size chart.

【EMPIRE VR90】

Released in 2016, the Empire VR90 is a lace-up type, giving it a casual look, but its carbon sole makes it a serious pedaling shoe. The VR90 remains a popular model today. It is the lightest model introduced here, and features a Vibram sole, allowing you to walk confidently even on rough terrain.

SECTOR

This model was introduced around 2020. The BOA adjustment feature was newly added, making it easier to adjust tightness and put on/take off the shoes. It uses a fabric with superior breathability and durability compared to the Empire, making it cool even in mid-summer and easy to use on gravel rides with rocks and trees.
