Chromag is a brand that captivates fans with its high-quality parts and unique designs, centered around robust and tough hardtail frames. Their products, designed from a rider's perspective, not only look good but also have a proven track record for serious performance.
This time, we've received framesets and several popular components from Chromag. First, a brief introduction to the brand.
What is Chromag?
Chromag is a mountain bike brand based in Whistler, Canada.
It all started in 2003 when founder Ian Ritz felt that there was a lack of high-quality hardtail bikes and reliable parts that could withstand downhill and all-mountain riding, so he began developing his own products.
At the core of the brand is "making products by riders, for riders." Based on real feedback gained from the demanding trails of Whistler, they continue to create bikes and parts that prioritize practicality, durability, and style.
Currently, some of their frames are handmade in Canada, while others are manufactured in Taiwanese factories known for their quality. Additionally, CNC-machined parts such as stems and chainrings are produced in local workshops around Whistler, strongly reflecting their philosophy of "making what we trust, with our own hands."

This time, we've received Chromag's iconic frames and popular handlebars, stems, and pedals. This lineup is sure to satisfy even the most discerning riders.
ROOTDOWN Frameset (S size)
The ROOTDOWN, a classic from Chromag, is a chromoly hardtail frame designed for all-mountain to enduro riding. Made in Taiwan.
Using custom-drawn 4130 chromoly, it strikes a good balance between suppleness and rigidity. It's compatible with 29-inch or 27.5+ inch wheels.
The S size is recommended for riders approximately 155-165cm tall.

SCARAB Pedals
These flat pedals feature a wide platform (110x105mm), a thin 13mm body, and a concave shape.
The pins are adjustable and provide excellent grip, ensuring a reliable feel even on rough terrain.
RIZA Stem
This CNC-machined aluminum stem from Whistler uses 6061 aluminum, offering an excellent balance of lightness and durability.
The "fade design" with rounded edges reduces stress on the handlebar. It's a meticulously crafted piece down to the smallest detail.
