No water, no time. How to wash your bike in 10 minutes
A well-maintained bicycle feels good to ride.
If you wash it yourself, you'll feel even more attached to it.
However, for various reasons, such as being too busy with work, being too busy riding, or simply finding it bothersome, many people probably want to clean their bikes as quickly and easily as possible.
For those who want to wash their bikes quickly and easily, we'll show you how to clean your bike without water or much time.
Since no water is used, this method is also recommended for those who don't have access to a water washing environment.
There are steps 1-3, but for daily cleaning, just Step 1 is fine. If you want to keep it even cleaner, proceed to Steps 2 and 3.

Step 1. Cleaning
Cleaning the drivetrain first and then the frame is more efficient and minimizes dirt transfer.
First, the drivetrain.
Use Derailleur Trail.

Simply attach the dedicated cleaning machine, which contains the cleaning solution, to the chain and rotate the crank for about 1 minute.

As you rotate it, you'll feel the resistance gradually lighten. This is a sign that the dirt is coming off.

Once it's clean, remove the cleaning machine and thoroughly wipe off any excess cleaning solution from the chain with a cloth. That completes the drivetrain cleaning.
Actually, at this point, the chain has already been lubricated. How easy! Thank goodness.
If there's stubborn dirt caked on the derailleur pulleys or other parts, it saves time to scrape it off first with a Muc-off Claw Brush.
Next, clean the entire bike.
Use Muc-off Waterless Wash.
This is a cleaner that allows you to wash your bike without water.

Spray Waterless Wash over the entire bicycle and let it sit for a few minutes. It's best to spray generously until it drips. It's safe to use around the brakes.

While you wait, the dirt will drip off with the cleaner. Afterward, wipe off the remaining cleaner from the frame with a cloth.
That's it.
Once you get used to it, this won't take 10 minutes. For daily cleaning, this much is sufficient.
If you want to make it even cleaner, let's proceed to Step 2.
*During cleaning, cleaning solution will fall onto the floor. If you don't want to stain your floor, work on a mat like the Muc-off Workshop Mat.
Step 2. Protection
Taking an extra step after Step 1 will result in a cleaner finish, make it harder for dirt to adhere, and make your next bike wash easier.
Use Muc-off Silicon Shine. It restores the shine to frames and resin parts and also makes them more resistant to dirt.

Spray, avoiding the brake area and tire treads.
Thoroughly polish the sprayed areas with a clean cloth. It will become glossy and smooth, making it harder for dirt to stick.
*For matte-finish frames where you don't want a glossy sheen, use Muc-off Matte Finish Detailer.
If you're concerned about rust, in addition to Silicon Shine, spray Muc-off HCB-1 on the affected areas to strongly prevent rust.
For chromoly frames, it's a good idea to spray it inside the frame as well.

For those who ride their bicycles regardless of the weather, applying a highly waterproof grease like Muc-off Bio Grease to the part of the frame where the seatpost enters can prevent water from entering the frame.
*Spraying Silicon Shine, HCB-1, etc., near the brakes is strictly prohibited. If it adheres, the brakes will not work. Using a Muc-off Disc Brake Cover allows you to spray without worrying about it adhering to the disc brake area.
Step 3. Lubrication
Since the chain was already lubricated when the drivetrain was cleaned in Step 1, it's not necessary to lubricate the chain again, but if you're concerned or have a preferred chain oil, apply oil to the chain as needed.
Recommended chain lube is Muc-off C3 DRY Ceramic Lube.
For those who ride regardless of the weather, Muc-off C3 WET Ceramic Lube is a good choice.
After applying chain oil, wiping off excess oil will help prevent dirt from accumulating.
With this, your bike wash is complete!
If you do all of Steps 1-3, your daily bike wash will be perfect, but it's also fine to just do Step 1.
You can also add Steps 2 and 3 when you feel like it or when necessary.
Take just 10 minutes once a month, if you can, to clean your regularly used bicycle and refresh your spirits!
