Cycling in search of fresh greenery

I received an order for a custom KOGO road bike paint job with the request, "I'd like a nice shade of green, please," so I went to see the Sennen Sugi (Thousand-Year Cedar) in Kuchi, Hiroshima, in search of a fresh green color.

It's about 15km from grumpy with a slight uphill climb, and since there aren't many people and it's easy to park a bike, it's a perfect spot for cycling.

Since a small hill wasn't enough for me, I took a slight detour and went to my destination via Hata Pass, a classic mountain road.

Hata Pass is also a good green spot.
Soon, the akebi fruit will ripen, and I'll be keeping an eye on what's overhead.

I arrived at the trailhead of Mt. Takeyama. The Sennen Sugi is located just a little further in from here.
I've actually never been to the summit, but there are castle ruins there, so I plan to climb it soon.

Besides the sign, I was greeted by something once called Pooh.
It seems his time to return to the mountains has come.

I entered the hiking trail a bit and parked my bike in an open clearing.
The green of the maple leaves here is also interesting.

The hiking trail with sunlight filtering through the trees is also beautiful.

Since there are castle ruins nearby, it's likely a location where it was easy to quarry stones.
Along the way, I often see trees with roots clinging to the rocks as if grasping them.

A beautiful stream also flows along the way.
I wonder what kind of creatures live there.
The deep green of the fresh, moist moss is also a beautiful color.

It's quite dangerous.

Beyond the danger, a tree with an overwhelming presence appears.

Its huge trunk, too big for the frame, and its gnarled bark, which looks like a karesansui garden, make me keenly feel the difference in scale of living things.

Its branches are too thick to be called mere branches. Why did the trunk split so irregularly? It gives more of a sense of dignity than beauty.

Now, regarding the main topic, the "nice green color, please" for the custom KOGO road bike, I'm still adrift after over-absorbing green, but it should be painted soon.
