Handmade full chromoly road bike "KOGO"

Road bikes have changed significantly in recent years.
Carbon frames are now mainstream, disc brakes are standard equipment, and wheels feature thru-axles.

A new category, gravel roads, has also emerged, bringing more excellent models that can be ridden both on and off-road.

Mass-produced bikes increasingly feature frames with dedicated stems and seat posts, as well as inner cable designs where all cables run internally.

Amidst these changes, Grumpy has begun to carry the latest road bike manufacturers.

Having experienced the amazing qualities of modern technology, we wondered if we could incorporate this technology into traditional road bikes.

Of course, this was done while keeping our core concept of "long-term usability" in mind.

This was the genesis of our original road bike, the [KOGO].

The model name KOGO is derived from "Kogo," the name of the area where Grumpy is located.

Kogo also means "metal horse," which was a perfect name for a bicycle.

About frame size

Frame size can be freely ordered through customization.

You can order in 1mm increments to your desired dimensions.

The following two points allow custom size orders:

① Seat tube length (C-T)

This is the distance from the center of the BB to the top end of the seat tube.

② Top tube length (C-C)

This is the distance from the intersection of the top tube and head tube center to the intersection of the top tube and seat tube center.

Below is a table of recommended heights and sizes. Please refer to it.

KOGO is available in two basic colors.

Basic Color ①: Pearl White

A white and silver gradient paint that shines like freshly cooked rice.

Pearl white is a paint that achieves its brilliance because it involves more layers than usual, with a pearl coat applied over the base color and then sealed with a clear coat.

To avoid a monotonous appearance, we applied a silver gradient paint to the lower part of the frame, matching the logo color.

We even added some sparkle like sprinkles!

Basic Color ②: Blue Metallic

Painter Takenoshita wanted to create a refreshing, timeless blue metallic.

The image for this color came from the beautifully clear, almost annoyingly bright blue sky visible from the third floor of the scorching hot paint factory.

As a rebellion against the perfectly clear sky, he added pearl white, evoking the image of clouds illuminated by the sunlight.

This blue color is more than just beautiful and vibrant; it embodies the painter's feelings.
